- This course aims to prepare you to work more effectively with plurilingual learners in higher education. You'll learn about WHAT plurilingualism is, WHY it is important, and HOW to apply it into practice. After completing this course, you will be able to:

- About the course
  The APATCHE course seeks to raise awareness about plurilingual approaches in language learning and teaching in higher education (HE). By the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
  
  recognize the importance of plurilingual approaches in HE and scientific knowledge development in local and national languages as well as in English;
  apply tools and skills for successful implementation of plurilingual approaches in the HE classroom;
  adapt and use plurilingual approaches and scenarios with their students.

Descriptive Scale
- There are two ways how you could use the Descriptive Scale:
  1. You can read through the descriptors and decide on where you are at. When you feel you need to improve, you can click on the links that will take you to the right sections to help you improve your level
  
  2. You can also go through the course module by module. Once you complete the sections, you will be awarded a badge. Go to the Descriptive Scale to understand how far you have gone.

  These are research papers that show why plurilingual repertoires are an asset and a challenge for students and for teacher and staff in HE (higher education). Should you (we ) continue teaching using only monolingual approach? Better not!
  As this is the last activity in this module, you may go back to the the Descriptive Scale to self-evaluate your awareness and your knowledge of why plurilingual approaches are needed.

- This module is about practical application of the plurilingual approach in your classes. First, you will find The APATCHE methodological handles (tips & tricks) for the Plurilingual HE Teachers. Then, the examples of The APATCHE plurilingual activities within constructed possible plurilingual pedagogical scenarios in a language and / or subject university classroom.
  Objectives
  
  Creating didactic materials for training HE language and subject teachers in achieving a shift towards
  
  ACTION-ORIENTED,
  AGENTIVE (using students’ lived experiences with languages and cultures and with students given an active role as agents of their own learning),
  PLURILINGUAL and PLURICULTURAL LANGUAGE EDUCATION.
