Assessment is an inseparable part of learning and teaching processes. Through assessment practices, student learning should be promoted and enhanced as well as it should enable assessing and documentation of learning outcomes (Crisp, Guardia, and Hillier, 2016). Assessment of learning outcomes in virtual or technology-enhanced learning environments has recently become a center of discussion. However, a note should be made that assessment in virtual or technology-enhanced environments can be rather dissimilar from assessment in face-to-face classrooms. Thus, there is a need to take a closer look at the ways learning outcomes can be measured and/or improved by using digital tools as well as by application of certain assessment strategies and techniques.
