There are many benefits to implementing both summative and formative assessment strategies using various VLE provided technical solutions and tools. However, there are certain requirements to comply with to build an efficient assessment strategy online. It is recommended to organize the assessment of learning outcomes online by combining the final thesis and testing of the subject, when the completed thesis (e.g., task such as project, written work, program, experiment, etc.) have higher value indicator in final grade comparing to the test element (i.e., oral test / presentation / analysis (recorded video file, live presentation during the exam, discussion, etc.). There are some examples where students collect and combine the elements for the exam or thesis during the semester, and present them together with descriptions, theoretical references, argumentation, and discussion at the end of the study period. Sometimes, in some courses, all intermediate tasks are integrated in this way.
