3.4.9. PRACTICAL ACTIVITY

  1. TMO1
  2. 3.4.9. PRACTICAL ACTIVITY

When students are not used to creating digital portfolios, it may stand as a huge challenge for them. Try your hand at it first and create your own digital teaching portfolio to identify the aspects that may raise constraints among students. A digital teaching portfolio is a collection of evidence of you teaching, all accessible online and it is usually created for self-reflection (personal growth), self-development (formative, goal-setting, progress over time, new pedagogical skills) and/or showcasing teaching achievements (evidence of professional growth). To create your own digital teaching portfolio you should consider:

- Keeping it simple but dynamic – create a visually appealing document, resorting different types of content (photographs, text, iIllustrations, technical drawings, web pages, animations, graphics, etc.);

- Creating different section – it is easier to explore a portfolio when it divides into meaningful categories

- Spotlighting your most significant work – the selected works show your teaching profile and those that have garnered praise from peers should not be left out.

- Telling a story – offer insight into why you chose your career path, your work experiences, etc.
