About EFQUEL (efquel.org/)

The European Foundation for Quality in e-Learning (EFQUEL) is a non-profit association which has its origins in three successful European e-Learning projects, all in the field of quality in e-Learning in Europe. EFQUEL is today’s largest network on in this field in Europe and has members from all over Europe and even beyond (Taiwan, US, Russia, Saudi-Arabia, Malaysia, Canada).

EFQUEL serves as sustainable and proactive network by providing valuable services to the European and global e-Learning community. EFQUEL approaches quality in e-Learning from complementary perspectives and develops full-scale services for all educational fields, regional contexts and target groups. It provides support, transparency, open participation and leadership for a broad range of topics.

EFQUEL currently has 123 institutional members and has recently launched the network of quality experts from Europe and beyond. All major European networks in the field of education and training are part of the EFQUEL cooperation environment and have collaboration agreements and active contact.

EFQUEL is frequently engaging into initiatives under European Commissions support to consult on future learning and innovation models and develop flagship projects, covering the field of Open Educational Resources, development of quality frameworks and network building for enabling lifelong learning in Europe.  EFQUEL also hosts two international quality certification schemes: UNIQUe which rewards excellence in the use of ICT in Higher Education, and ECBCheck which certifies e-Learning Programmes aimed at developing human and organisational capacities.

EFQUEL organises a yearly conference entitled “EFQUEL Innovation Forum” in which it gathers 120 experts in the field of quality in education to discuss the newest innovations and quality trends open education.
