Flipped Classroom

4. How can you flip the classroom?

As for the flipped classes, the challenges become to present meaningful content to students outside the classroom, and promote students meaningful learning in a class.  In  blended learning cases, lecturers have to determine what can be done best on the Internet, what can be done in the classroom sessions, and how to integrated online lectures and classroom activities for successful learning.

Lecturers do many things to move lecture from a class session. Often these strategies are facilitated by technology:

  • Assign class readings and prepare quizzes on this reading to the students before they coming to the lessons.
  • Create videos that explore the subject and require learners to watch it before class and answer certain questions.
  •  Integrate an activity to video material for learners engagement and ask them come to class with one or two questions they have about the topic. When students rise and explore questions, they learn topic.
  • Engage learners in online discussions by requiring them to find, publish or draw connections to relevant online information.
