2. Example of good practice
In the field of education, we
have a great privilege that one of our target groups is around us every day.
Why not take advantage of our own students' knowledge, creativity, skills,
networks and time to improve our social media content? We really should not think
that we can do it at our own expense[1]
Tasks for the Social Media Students (in higher education)
At the moment, we have a team of five to six students who work no more than four hours a week. During these hours they:
- Send me interesting news from your faculty or student community
- Work in long-term projects, such as a photo album or video (series)
- participates in team meetings (editorial meetings, training sessions)
- check and answer other questions through their personal accounts
As you can see, our student team does not have the task of posting content directly on our facebook page. I know that this seems like too much control, not just how the social media works.
But I think there are some important reasons for this choice:
- It allows us to always perform the final prompt check of content, text and voice
- It allows us to maintain content throughout the week
- This allows us to post messages as continuous traffic throughout the week
